DreamSpark: Some Microsoft Software Free for Students!

Last year, Microsoft announced that students can get Office 2007 for a mere $60.

DreamSpark is yet another program that benefits students. Now, the following software packages can be obtained freely by students:

  • Windows Server 2003
  • Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition
  • SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition
  • Microsoft Expression Studio, Expression Web, Blend, Design and Media
  • 1 year subscription to XNA Game Studio Creator's club

Arizona State University, isn't listed for the student status verification step. Go here instead.

Visual Studio 2008 is something I use very often for projects. Getting this for free is really a big help!

NicoAtMicrosoft You know, you can pick up more recent promotional versions of SQL Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 (as well as Visual Studio 2008) at the Hereoes Happen {Here} Launch Events, if you're interested. Registration is free and there are some good presentations to see, also.

Qaswer That is not available in all over the world, just 11 countries can download that. Do they think there are no technology students else than that?
